A Birthday Cake that will last for years to come.

This beautiful fabric cake is made from an 8" paper mache box with a removable lid. Covered in a soft white chenille fabric with a crocheted trim in pastel yellow as well as additions of white frilly lace help to create this lovely cake.

The top of the cake has colorful beads sewn in place as well as a place for a candle to take center stage, The candle is secured in place through the use of a magnet glued to the candle's base and the opposing magnet glued to the lid's bottom. Place the candle in the center and it stays put. Remove the candle and store it inside the cake.

What a wonderful Birthday Gift for a Child's First Birthday. The box can then be used as a keepsake for storing special treasures collected throughout the years. (birthday cards, first hair cut, photos, lost teeth, etc.)

This cake would also make a lovely display cake sitting on a Vintage cake plate.

How about using the cake as a gift box. Just put your gift inside and you end up with "Two gifts in One".
